Kibale National Park, renowned as the “Primate Capital of the World,” offers an unparalleled wildlife experience for nature enthusiasts.
Its premier attraction, the Kanyanchu Primate Walk, presents a rare opportunity to encounter up to thirteen different primate species in their natural habitat, including the iconic chimpanzees. These walks, led by experienced guides, begin at 8:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 2:00 PM, with each session lasting between two and five hours.
The habituated chimpanzee groups of Kanyanchu have been monitored since 1993, giving visitors a 90% chance of observing these remarkable primates. Each group visit is limited to six participants, with a one-hour interaction time, ensuring an intimate and sustainable experience. Advance booking is essential, and participants must be at least 16 years old.
