The trek begins at the Mihunga trailhead, ascending the Bujuku Valley through Nyabitaba for acclimatization before reaching the towering peaks. The trail then takes you through the Scott Elliot and Freshfield passes, descending through the Mubuku Valley. While some climbers opt to scale the snow-covered peaks, many find the spectacular scenery alone to be a sufficient reward for their efforts.
